Empowering through climate action and poverty education. Aiming for sustainable future with equality
Who we are
Reborn Foundation is a youth-driven nonprofit committed to empowering the most vulnerable through climate action, poverty alleviation and gender equality. We respond to emergency crises, address the consequences of climate change, and create sustainable livelihoods while working toward reduced inequality, good health and well-being, and a more inclusive future. By supporting marginalized communities, we aim to build an equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
We actively combat gender based violence and work with transgender individuals and women facing such challenges. We also run SRHR projects focused on educating adolescent girls including those living on the streets about reproductive health and rights.
Reborn Foundation envisions a world built on communication, mutual understanding, and acceptance. Join us as we unite to heal the world and empower communities.

Our Work
Emergency response and COVID 19
Reborn Foundation: 18 Months of Relentless COVID-19 Relief. Reborn Foundation supported 50,000 people during 18 months of COVID-19 in Bangladesh. Farzana worked as the first female COVID frontliner in Jashore, distributing sanitization supplies and enough food to sustain 300 families for a month. Despite fear and empty streets, she continued providing food and essentials daily. Over 18 months, Reborn Foundation's relentless efforts brought hope and sustenance to people.
Adolescent health and gender inclusivity
Our secretary, Sumiya Afrin Mim, visited flood-affected villages in Satkhira. Her research highlighted the severe impacts on adolescent girls' academic, physical, psychological, and reproductive health due to flooding. She also championed equality with the transgender community through beach cleaning campaigns, gender sensitization programs in schools, and cultural performances by the gender-diverse community.
Hope amidst cyclones
Cyclones frequently ravage Bangladesh, exacerbated by climate change. The Reborn Foundation stands resilient, providing crucial support. During the Remal Cyclone, the foundation aided 300 families daily. In Jashore, after Cyclone Amphan, they built homes and provided meals for 200 families, bringing hope and relief.
Empowering and nurturing students
On December 21, 2021, Reborn Foundation organized a Free Dental Camp where fifteen dentists from the AkAA provided free check-ups for 400 students, and our president distributed MediPlus toothpaste. On May 2, 2022, at Rokeya Hall, University of Dhaka, we shared books about the Nation to inspire students to be resilient and love their country. During COVID-19, we provided financial aid to 300 Dhaka University students and conducted women’s awareness programs to promote empowerment and well being.
Lifesaving flood aid and climate action
Since 2020, the Reborn Foundation has consistently provided immediate relief during every flood in Bangladesh. In October 2020, in the Sundarban coastal area of Koira, the flood left hundreds in hardship. We provided food, medicine, and other relief items to affected families. In June 2022, severe flooding in Sylhet disrupted livelihoods. Despite the dangers, we helped 900 people in need, providing essential aid.
Breaking the stigma and ensuring equality
The Reborn Foundation is committed to gender equality and empowering women. Our Secretary, Sumiya Afrin Mim, highlighted April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Bangladesh News, stressing the importance of addressing this issue. After a Dhaka University student was raped, we demanded justice and sought to eliminate gender-based violence. We organized a women's cricket match to break societal boundaries and a lights-out campaign to raise awareness about gender-based violence.
Warmth for winter nights
Since 2020, the Reborn Foundation has provided warmth to the northern parts of Bangladesh every winter. In January 2021, we distributed 500 blankets to the homeless. In February 2022, we sent 1,000 blankets to Kurigram, the coldest area.
In December 2023, we continued annual support and organized concerts to collect blankets, providing 500 blankets to Jashore in January. And we distributed 300 blankets in January 2024 in dhaka.
Adolescent Reproductive health and rights
The Reborn Foundation recently launched a campaign focused on the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of street adolescent girls. We provided education on reproductive health, menstrual management, and the dangers of early marriage and pregnancy. We also conducted one-on-one interviews to understand their needs better. Following the discussions, we distributed 100 packets of sanitary napkins, along with food and water. The Reborn Foundation strongly advocates for reducing the price of sanitary napkins by half to make them accessible to everyone. We believe that SRHR is vital for adolescent girls, helping them navigate the significant physical changes. Ensuring access to accurate information and healthcare prevents early pregnancies, STIs. SRHR is essential for adolescent girls to lead healthy lives.
